Meet Scott Dawson
Reconnect · Realign · Restore
I am a Structural Integration Bodyworker committed to helping clients restore health and freedom of movement through manual therapy. My journey began after my father’s passing in 1999, which inspired a career change and a calling to support others in their healing.
Over the years, I developed an ability to identify and address pain patterns, enabling clients to return to their favorite activities, pain-free. I have a wealth of training and 25 years of experience in massage and bodywork. I am also an athlete with extensive experience in personal training, strength and conditioning, and I have successfully returned from injury and physical setbacks.
A pivotal moment occurred in 2015, when a near-fatal motorcycle accident left me with serious injuries and ongoing concussion syndrome. At the time, I was serving as a Lieutenant in the Fire Service. Returning to work before I had fully healed led to further challenges and, ultimately, my departure from the profession. My healing journey began soon after, bringing deep transformation and renewed purpose to my life.
Today, I draw on all of these experiences to inform my practice. As a holistic practitioner, I consider every aspect of your body’s story in our sessions. Each new client undergoes a comprehensive intake, including discussion of injury and surgery history, physical practices, lifestyle, movement patterns, pain points, previous chiropractic care and bodywork, and trauma history. My goal is to support your healing and help you achieve lasting well-being.
Prior to completing massage school, I served in the Navy. I then completed a degree in Business Administration at The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, and worked in the financial services field right after college. Finding massage and bodywork after my father passed away, I felt a calling to a different path.
During the initial intake, I will discuss the following with you in depth:
- Injury, Imaging, and Surgery history
- Physical practices (historic and current)
- What does your body feel like when you are moving?
- What movements are painful, awkward, or uncomfortable?
- History with Chiropractic care and Bodywork
- Trauma history
I have had 25 years of experience returning clients to performance, helping them maintain performance and supporting them while they push themselves to extremes of sports of multiple varieties. Here is a short list of problems I help to solve:
- Low back pain (chronic and acute)
- Shoulder pain (frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, chronic and acute)
- Knee pain (assistance pre and post surgery, chronic and acute)
- Headaches and neck pain
- TMJ and jaw pain due to clenching, grinding, and trauma
- Plantar fasciitis (foot and ankle pain)
- Difficulty breathing, rib injuries, and breathing restrictions
- Balancing posture and decreasing pain due to repetitive stress
- Assistance in alleviating pain due to herniated or bulging discs and postural distortion
I have a wide variety of training and experience that informs my touch. I focus on myofascial release work. This type of bodywork allows the body to return to functional, postural alignment. By providing a sense of length and openness through the body, you will experience a proprioceptive change. You may experience a greater awareness of your body and a greater connection to the ground as well as yourself.

I was a personal trainer for 3 years and focused on corrective exercise and kettlebell training. I have always been involved in gyms and strength and conditioning.
